Hello everyone. Once again, it's been a while since we last sent news of the latest happenings in the shop, so this is long overdue. Hope you're all doing well :)

Thanks to everyone who came to the second Carshalton Record Fair a few weeks ago. It was another great day and another fantastic attendance so thanks to all the customers and dealers for making it another success, and to Mother Nature for bringing out the sunshine, it always helps!

So on to future events, and this weekend sees our old mate and local legend Al back in the shop with his Film Poster Pop-up Emporium. As always there will be a plethora of amazing movie & music posters and memorabilia available, from cult cinema to blockbuster, and all presented in glorious technicolour, or Al-orama if you like. Come & bag yourself a bargain or get a Christmas present for the film buff in your life (yes it's approaching that time already!). Al will be in-store this Saturday from 12pm to 5:30pm. 

Then a couple of weeks later we will be nipping away for a few days, so the shop will be closed from Thursday 15th October through to Sunday 18th October. We will be open again as normal from Thursday 22nd October

And then, the next event will be the one that we've all been waiting for; Scarred For Life. It seems like a long time ago now since we booked Bob & Stephen in for their Folk Horror Special, and it's finally upon us.

Explaining exactly what the show is about to those unfamiliar with the Scarred For Life books & podcast, and with the world of Hauntology itself, is a challenge, but as soon as you mention The Wicker Man, the old Public Information films & wierd, creepy kids TV series of the 1970s & 80's then people of a certain vintage get a good idea right away. And for those of a younger, post-Haunted Generation, dropping in a mention of Stranger Things usually does the trick. 

And there is exciting news for anyone who has a ticket, or is thinking of buying a ticket for the show, as we have a Logo Fiasco exclusive to announce, in the form of a special, ultra-limited cassette-only collaborative release from close friends of the shop Stonecirclesampler and Travis Elborough;

"The Past I Remember & The Past I Don't" is a hauntological library electronics & spoken word broadcast remembered from the unheimlich undercurrents & supernatural transmissions of the 1970s + 1980s hauntological folk horror TV plays (Saphire & Steel, The Owl Service, Sky, The Stone Tape, Children Of The Stones, Ghost In The Water, Into the Labyrinth & many more).

One-time only signed edition of 30 copies on Wicker Man flaming folk horror yellow cassette, housed in a library case.

Available for purchase on the day of the show, Thursday 29th October, from 5:30pm in-store and at CryerArts only. Ticket holders are entitled to buy one copy each. 

The show is a Halloween Special, and takes place on Thursday 29th October in the main theatre at CryerArts Centre, Carshalton, SM5 3BB - doors open 7pm, with the show starting at 7:30pm sharp. Tickets still available but selling fast - Buy Here.

Well folks, there's so much more to tell you, but we wouldn't want to overload you with information or cause you to be too overcome with excitement. There are lots of new releases & new stock to tell you about but we'll leave that for another day.
